The One Thing That Sets Successful CEOs Apart

After years on an entrepreneurial journey filled with ups and downs, I’ve discovered a few secrets that have changed everything.

From countless books, videos, and blogs, I’ve heard more than my fair share of inspirational startup stories. I’ve watched startups succeed and fail. I’ve seen entrepreneurs strike gold after a dozen failed ideas.

In my startup community, Idea Factory, I always remind would-be entrepreneurs that everyone’s path is different. Each one of us needs to find our recipe for success. But, what’s mine?

Go all in.

Want to be successful? Go all in. Work like you’ve got insider information and know you’re investing in the next big thing.

How to Make a Real Commitment

At every step, you’ve got to be ready to go all-in. It makes no sense to start a business if you don’t have the courage to do something that might fail. If you don’t fully commit, you have no chance of success. The only way to get what you want is to take a quantum leap and for it.

Go all in wholeheartedly. Live and breathe your business. Start your business only when you are not afraid to lose.

Give your time, passion, and, most importantly, your full self to it. It doesn’t matter if the result is a success. Just make sure you have done your very best to make it happen.

Perfection is never an occasion. If it doesn’t work out, so what?

Forget the Sprint, and Focus on the Marathon

Get up and try again! It is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Just make sure that with every step you are going forward. The courage to go all in means you are ready to do all it takes to provide your success.

If it means you are going to work more hours than you are paid for, do it anyway. If you need to make phone calls when you’d rather curl up in bed, do it anyway.

When it comes to your business, don’t fake it. You’ve got to give it all to get any real result. Find your inner fearless player in this game.

Why Community Is Key

At the Idea Factory, I have noticed one common quality amongst the most successful entrepreneurs. They fully embrace the platform as a place to pitch, learn, and be an active participant. Winning the $500 and even $15,000 contests is not their ultimate goal. Instead, it’s all about pushing and perfecting their ideas every single day.

Knowing and believing in an idea, they improve it and present it again and again. Each and every time, it’s better.

No one says you’ve got to have the perfect idea from day one. It’s all about working at it until it is just right.

How to Get Insider Info

If you decide to use my recipe, let me warn you: Going all in on a startup without basic knowledge, feedback, expert support, and stories of other start-ups is like going all in on the stock without researching it. You’re doomed to fail.

Spending time creating your ideas, pitching them, getting feedback, test driving products, and finally, MVP is essential.

I created the Idea Factory as a one-stop-shop where entrepreneurs can do it all. This is where you get that “insider information”.

Entrepreneurs succeed by speaking to others. You’ve got to reach out to like-minded people and share your ideas with them. When you interact with others, it not only improves your understanding of what you are doing but gives smart people the opportunity to help.

If you go all in with a new idea, don’t be afraid to ask others for help!

The rewards for hard work and commitment are immeasurable. The status, successful startup, solid bank account — it all depends on you. But I am sure our community will make this path much easier for you.
